“Street Show Promo” on YouTube

I was gifted footage from The Busking Project and Nick taught me how to use Final Cut Pro. Now, finally, I have a real promotional video of my street performance work.

I <3 The Busking Project.

Robotics workshop @ the Rag Factory

I went to The Rag Factory last night. I had the privilege of taking a part in Nik’s beginner workshop on being a robot. This will be great for my statue work as well as my isolation work with contact juggling.

Nik is a great Robot Contact Juggler who has been learning his dance style for a few decades.

I made an appointment today to begin filming my tutorial series on contact juggling as well! Its a great space as well as community space. I am stoked to start teaching! YES!

Post Turbofest

CasualArcane made this amazing video of Turbofest 418. This festival takes place in Quebec City, in an old open church which has been transformed into L’Ecole de Cirque du Quebec

Also, I get a kiss from Tony Duncan at the end!! *blush*

On my way to London

I am about to start a project in the middle of my other two major projects. This one will be a contact juggling workshop series that focuses on conceptual understanding of contact juggling (not “tricks”). I have working diligently on scripts and ideas, talking to other jugglers at festivals. I plan to have these ready for download before I leave London at the end of the  month, so I have a lot of work ahead of me!  However, I am very excited as I believe the conceptual base I am using has not been presented before.

Also, I get to go to Bristol’s other convention to see all of my favorite contact jugglers (not including Tony Duncan)

This is going to be awesome!

Toronto Workshop

I am in the middle point of my travels, and I have decided to teach a workshop for the Toronto folks again. It was a new approach, as I plan to write a new video series to teach in a sense-based way.

I have recieved some great feedback, including one of my students who wrote me this today:

Hey there – just wanted to thank you for a great workshop! I’ve always been fascinated by contact juggling, but had never touched a ball before. I was skeptical that I’d be able to learn much in a short workshop, but was surprised. You taught the basics in a fun and easy to follow way. Balances made sense right away and body rolls were fun to play with. I feel like i have the basic mechanics of isolations as well as a bunch of butterfly variations – there’s lots that i can work on on my own time.

Thanks again, Dawn! see you next time you’re in town!

Thanks for your feedback! It is great to hear I can help people learn something which I have fallen in love with so deeply.
